Had he a website up and active I would demand you go visit and view John G’s work. Sadly he does not. One day John and I will rule the world with our army of evil knuckle-crackers and mandatory reading of Warren Ellis works from the grade 3 on up…
apoptosis engine: that one is fun
apoptosis engine: you’d have either loved portal, or would have smashed your computer in frustration
EttaDiem: almost all games make me want to smash computer. smash it real good
apoptosis engine: haha
apoptosis engine: Portal is a a puzzle game unlike any I’d ever really played before
apoptosis engine: you had a gun that could shoot portals
apoptosis engine: so on one hand, it’s an FPS… but on the other, it’s a spatial puzzel game
apoptosis engine: it’s hard to explain how much fun the game is, but it is
apoptosis engine: Plus the evil computer that’s forcing you through the puzzels keeps promising you cake
apoptosis engine: how can you not love that?
EttaDiem: it sounds like lots of confused men would be sitting there going… me liky go boom with big gun! to render puzzle not so good liky boom
apoptosis engine: haha, yea… it wasn’t a hit amongst the Halo-playing fratboy set
EttaDiem: more boomy want cake!
apoptosis engine: …are you sure that’s not your inner monologue?
EttaDiem: you never know john, you never know
apoptosis engine: I’m actually terrified of the prospect of hearing your inner monologue
EttaDiem: you should fear my inner monologue in all its lovely many voices and degrees of evil nerf herder

Etta Diem’s collection of enchanted and cursed sheers

Available as a limited edition metallic print, ordering options found here.
There are many things to be found in Etta Diem’s eccentric attic shop. I remember visiting once where I spent nearly an hour sorting through a shelf full of beautifully crafted bottles — often called Egyptian Tear Catchers. Each of these small and elegantly spun bottles held a small tag that offered a name of the bottle and the properties of the fluids kept inside. One of the most tall and narrow of these bottles, painted an incredibly pearl like black and crimson and extremely beautiful, claimed to contain the tears of a mythical dragon of very old legends. When Etta’s back was turned I did a rude thing on impulse and removed the stopper of the bottle and lifted it to my nose. The smell alone caused my noise to recoil in pain and my eyes instantly watered. Nervously I tipped the bottle a pinch and watched a droplet fall from the bottle and hit the wooden floor with an evil hiss of burning. That one droplet burned clear through the floor, and then through the items that lie in the basement below. I quickly put the bottle back and excused myself from Etta’s shop. So it didn’t even cause me to pause or doubt the strange shopkeep when she showed me her collection of antique and very special scissors. Each elaborately crafted tool that she finds I take up to the Archive and do my best to study and document its cursed or enchanted properties. I drew up the diagram of the individual sheers that Ms Diem currently has in her shop. And below this image I have summed up the things claimed of each sheer. Please admire their eerie beauty, however… I don’t recommend you touch any of them, even for a second… (more…)

I’ve added a new splash gallery to the graphics heavy portion of my website. There are currently three of these monsters, all available through hidden links when you open my domain url. As time permits I add new work and little galleries and exhibits to these splash galleries. I just enjoy the mindless and haphazard uses of art and html. The graphic to the left links to the whole gallery. Content to be added when I’m a little more awake…

I’ve finally added a proper blog to my website. Eventually this will be my website with the more graphics heavy frames version as an exhibit to click around. My blog’s design was created by Myke, my much beloved boyfriend and art partner. I think he did a smashing job. He’s been waiting for me to fill out the content of this area so he can go and happily pimp his handiwork.
My main focus as of late has been completing my tarot deck. I’m very nearly done. The coins are now about done, with only the wands to go. Other than that, I’ve had some lovely things happening as of late, which can all be found in my updates, first link on the top to your right. And with that said, I must venture out into the horrible Michigan winter and see about moving around the eleven inches of snow that have fallen here today. Eep!
